Yes, I have one of these adaptors, and it works as advertised.
As Dr. T. has already expressed, the ability to use flash with a
Realist-format camera opens up a world of new photographing options,
particular the use of fill-flash to help reduce the contrast range
of a scene, which slide film sorely needs.

However, (and I really hate to say this because the folks at Reel 3D
are providing a great service to our small community) it is WAY
over-priced. For about $12 (what I paid recently for one for a
different application), you can get the unmodified "hot shoe to
PC" adaptor at a camera store and make the same modification that Reel
3D does, which is to Dremel out a "tunnel" in the plastic on the
bottom of the adaptor to clear the tall contact on an unmodified
Realist, and save yourself several dollars.
