The other day I went to a park where a group of kite flyers get together
each week. I wanted to get some stereo pictures of the colorful kites and
the people flying them. I asked the one that look like he knew the most if
I could take some 3-D pictures of him and his kite. He was happy to have me
do it, and gave me his business card. I will probably end up doing a series
of photo sessions with kites now, as he wants me to put up anaglyphs on his
web site!
The first thing he said was, "Great, I would like some of those images, and
I will give you my card so when you sell those images you can let me know.".
I thought at first that why should I give him any shots, I only took about 5
pictures of him, now he thinks I owe him. I feel that I don't even owe him
a slide unless I ask him to get to gether for a photo shoot when he wasn't
planning on going outside. He was just there, and I took some pictures
(with his permission). I will give him some slides after I take more
pictures. So, the moral of this story is that even though I may need to
take some extra shots to give sort of as payment for taking the person's
image, I may get some great shots out of it.
