Actually, this is an old hat, called "Vectograph" Polaroid made those and
these images are now collector's items. Reel 3-D sells a booklet called
"How to Make Polaroid Vectograph Prints" (stock #1185, $6)
>Thus viewing with passive polarizing filters would provide superb
>images, viewable by groups of people at once, without turning off the
>room lights.
>Imagine: One could actually have a gallery of stereo masterpieces
>that could be visited like any art gallery (except for the filters),
>wandering around and studying each image as long as you like.
I have to warn you about a couple of things: First, the Vectorgraph,
impressive as it is (seeing a stereo image out of a flat piece of paper)
still is nowhere near the experience of viewing a stereo slide (or a print)
in terms of depht, etc. Second, wondering around has the same effect as
wondering around in the projection room, like stretch if viewed from far
away, distortions if viewed at an angle, etc.
