Following up on my earlier WD-40 penetrating oil vs. cameras post:
I was talking to a member of the local stereo club this weekend, and
according to his info, WD-40 uses an acid as part of it's process. Which
could result in microscopic pitting/etching.
I was hoping someone out there has the technical sheet detailing of
the product. If not, I'll contact the manufacturer and, assuming it isn't
proprietary, try and get a technical specification page.
(If someone has checked the ph of this stuff, even that would be of
value.)
Following up on my earlier IR in lamps post:
I was unable to get IR info on halogen lamps-- all the studies I
found focused on UV. So the Themelis method is the way to go...
