Regarding the 3-D movie in Concord N.H.

I just called Cinema 93 today. Apparently he is still trying to fix the
problem with the projectors. He said that the motor (forgot what he called
it) that keeps the two in sync isn't working. He hasn't been able to get a
technician up to help out so he doesn't even know if it needs anew part.
If it does, then he said he'll probably be out of business as far as the
movie goes (since it is supposed to only run until friday night). He did
say though that he had a very good crowd last weekend and people were
raving about it. He (I suppose he is the owner) is a real good guy. I
talked for several minutes about 3-D films with him. He said he had a real
good crowd last weekend. Most of the people who came the following days
had heard about the movie from people who were there the first night.
Anyway, I asked him if he had 3-D movies very often. He said that he is a
real big fan of 3-D movies and would like to show more, but has a
difficult time getting prints. He only knows of a few that are available
as 35mm sized film. He mentioned that Phantom of Rue Morgue was another
that he could get. I asked him about Hondo, but he said it was tied up in
the Wayne estate still. He has pretty much seen all the stuff that came
out on TV and was disappointed in the quality. He also has copies of the
movies from Rhino Records in his Video section for rental, but thinks the
3-D is terrible (in addition to the plots). After listening to a theatre
owner with such high regard for 3-D, who WANTS to show the movies, I feel
compelled to go on a quest for information regarding print availability.
If anyone knows of a source for 35mm 3D prints, please send me a message.
I would love to be able to put together a list and present it to this guy.
I just wish there was a theatre such as this in the Boston area. I find it
rather interesting that its the smaller out-of-the-way movie houses that
are run by people who are willing to show a format that larger companies
(such as IMAX/OMNIMAX, Disney, and Univeral) will only show in huge venues
such as NYC or Orlando.

Any information would be appreciated!
