The values posted earlier for film resolution seem identical to figures
I recall reading years ago.  These values were provided by the film
manufacturers, and were not determined independently.  Since the
manufacturers may well have different methods for evaluating resolution,
direct comparisons of these numbers may not be possible.

Does anyone have a reference for resolution numbers of transparency films 
that were determined under the same conditions?
