Re Expensive Kodak

Mike Kersenbrock replied to the original posting saying that although there
were stereo cameras around in the begining of this century he knew of no
35mm ones.
Sam Smith replied that that it was the 1917 folding stereo camera for 101
size film. However the same year not Kodak but Jules Richard of France
produced the Homeos stereo camera which used 35m film taking what today
would be called half frames. This has even been claimed as the first ever
35mm camera by stereo- types predating the Leica. But I have read of two 2D
cameras before it one of which could be switched to take full or half
frames. The Homeos had a 55mm seperation so with its half frame was much
like the Nimslo used as a conventional camera . Like the Teco Nimslo it had
full frame wind on to give a Colardeu progression like the realsist etc. I
believe this was originaly invented for the Homeos Colardeau was a French
designer working for Jules Richard. P.J.Homer
