Krause's Three Dimensional Projection Book

Flash book review (copies for sale in sell-3d):

Earl E. Krause: "Three-Dimensional Projection"

Small paperback, only book on stereo photography dealing exclusively
with stereo projection. 125 pages, published in 1954 by Greenberg,
part of Modern Camera Guide Series. Originally sold for $1.95!

Forward by well-known Dr. Franc E. Rice, APSA, first chairman of the
Stereo Division of PSA. The author, Earl E. Krause is a well known
authority in stereo projection, worked for TDC and has written the
instruction manuals for the TDC projectors.

>From this book we learn that TDC (Three Dimension Company) produced
the first stereo projector in 1949. That's only two years after
the introduction of the Stereo Realist camera, and the only "game
in town" for many years. No wonder it dominated the stereo projector
market (TDC projectors are the most common stereo projectors in the
used market today).

The book explains the theory and practice of stereo projection (from
the front page: "New stereo projection techniques covered in practical
step-by-step form with 3-D illustrations for free vision viewing.")

It uses the TDC 116 as a model projector to explain stereo projection.
Has a table that compares 10 projectors (Wollensak, TDC Vivid -that's
the 116- TDC Project-Or-View - Harry Poster's special!- Taylor D-52,
Realist 81, Realist 82, Iloca, Director, Diatom, Compco Triad) I am
surprised that so many stereo projectors were available in 1954!

Has chapter on Small Screen Projection (mainly TDC's Project-Or-View)
and Sawyer's View-Master Stereo System. Some info on movies.
Extensive information on mounting for stereo projection.

Bonus: Includes stereo pair of "The Man Behind the Boom", Seton
Rochwite, the originator of the five-sprocket stereo system.
