This may be off 3-D, but my remark was related to needing to make
much more profit than just the successful production of a product
would require - because of dividend, interest, bond payments, etc.
which must come "off the top."  Those portions are then a priority.

Most stock is not held by entities with an interest in a company's
core business, but rather in the rate of return on investment.
