Attention: Michael A. Amundson:

RE: "I am thinking about purchasing a 70x70 screen from B&H.
...Will my TDC with 500 watt halogen bulbs be bright enough?"

At the Potomac Society of Stereo Photographers (PSSP) we used
a TDC Model 116 for many years with 500 watt lamps on a DA-LITE
Silver Lenticular 70x70 Screen, and the images were adequate, and
actually brighter than two KODAK Carousel 750 projectors with 5"
f2.8 lenses projecting 2x2 images on an adjacent 70x70 screen.
We use 5" f3.5 lenses on the TDC-116.

About 10 years ago we rewired the TDC 116 with a higher velocity
fan and are now using 750 watt halogen lamps, but it does not seem
that much brighter.

You can improve brightness by periodically cleaning all lenses and
replacing the TDC polarizers from REEL 3-D.

Did you read my E-Mail on 3D projection Screens? Bill DUGGAN,
