Exactly. That's what I do. I ordered a bunch of the foldable TAYLOR MERCHANT
viewers (they even have glass lenses and cost only a few US) and most of my
friends have one by now. Severeal of my friends moved abroad (nothing to do
with me ;-)) but sending slides is a great way to keep in touch.
An American friend of mine who, several years ago, brought both her cats
(One salvaged from a Manhattan subwaystation and one found in a Brooklyn
poolhall) over to Belgium because she couldn't bare to be separated from
them recently relocated to Korea and there was no way she could take them
this time. Both were adopted by a Belgian friend. She has a viewer and
regularly gets 3D slides of her "babies". She says the slides are of
inestimable value to her. Unfortunatly often my friends are "raiding" my
albums and of many important happenings I don't have a single slide left
myself. :-(
