The vast majority of things that can be done with a computer have
*NOTHING* whatsoever to do with photography of any sort. *ALL* the
uses of 35mm film has to do with photography because the film isn't
used for anything else.
In other words, things photographic or camera related are all subsets
of stereo photography (because they are used for nothing *but* photography)
while digital photography is but a subset of computer use.
The set-subset relationships are opposite so when generalization takes
place the effect is different.

I don't mind there being a D3D list, it *could* be a very nice list
so long as general PC stuff isn't allowed to drone on (the only rule that
I've seen "here" as well). That droning already exists in many usenet
newsgroups. I'd rather keep droning subjects *unique* to the list. :-)

I'd certainly subscribe to see if it works but would unsubscribe if it
starts emulating comp.windows.whatever newsgroups (or Mac equivalents).

P.S. - I think calling the group intolerant of digital 3D is a <deleted>. I
recall only *ONE* incident having to do with disk partitioning
(which I think proper). Go to the archive and search on "computer".
You'll get about a zillion hits. DyeSub printers were spoken about
quite a few times, etc. Moderators almost NEVER kill things unless
they've been doing it behind the scenes and I just wasn't the
subject of it -- and I've *certainly* talked about digital
photography quite a bit on this list. A lot of it speculative
as well as my talking about my now ancient Epson Color stylus
printer printing stereocards that I scanned on my flatbed scanner.
P.P.S. - Also note I'm not an old film fuddy-duddy. I'm profesionally
a digital system and circuit design guy. I'm VERY pro digital.
I've also two sets of LC goggles at home for my PC there (I've
a Sun workstation here at work). Course one set of the goggles
were the *COMPUTER* related freebies which were given away on P3D!
