Peter Van Zuijlekom mentions a number of binocular cameras but except where
mentioned they would most probably not be stereo cameras. Even when they
are like the physiographe they may not be telephoto because these were
"detective" stereo cameras made to look like binoculars but shooting at 90
degrees to take candid shots they were not visualy binoculars or even
monoculars. Cameras like the cambinox had a single camera mounted between a
pair of binoculars presumably of the same focal length and focussed
together others took their image from just one of the binoculars . While
the plate camera opera glasses used one to take the picture and one to view
so they were even visualy only actualy monoculars.  P.J.Homer
