P3D The Springsteen Prize

Results so far:

- 2 participants with existing gadgets requiring new thought and
modification.  They're in the running for the "Innovation Reduced to
Practice" prize.  Highest honors here.

- 2 participants (including myself) digging up close-but-no-cigar
entries in the "Prior Art" category.

- 1 participant with a carefully explained theory but no working
models produced.  No category or prize for this.

- 2 fellows still making tables.

and untold hundreds circling the bait like wary fish.         

Here is a special challenge.  It occurs to me in looking at the
illustrations of the Spicer/Bercovitz article that a Klooswykian
intuitive "similar triangles in space" approach might be fun.  Can
anyone conceive of some multi-bar linkage, no bigger than the average
suburban back yard, that could animate the proportional geometry of
base calculation - maybe even give useable results?

First person to request my postal address and mail me a plausible
sketch will receive one of my first "rejects" in a stereocard
competition.
