Thanks to everyone who has been posting about manufacturers of
silver mylar tape.
However, my original post concerned not as much the
manufacturer but the substrate the silver is on. Until just recently it
was on very thin mylar and was great to work with, sticking to
anything and conforming all around. The new stuff is on a real thick
base that is only good for flat surfaces. I do not know if the base
material (mylar?, sometimes called silver polyesther) is the same
between these two with one thicker or are they actually two
different materials.
The stuff I get now from Delta 1 is so thin and conforming that you
can see the grain of the cardboard mount through the tape!
No matter who you get your tape from, I would still suggest you
check for thickness before committing to too many rolls.
