Greg Wageman writes of the virtues of nickel hydride batteries for
digital cameras. His advice as usual is sound... Nikon and other
manufacturers specifically recommend going this route for the
digitals...

Quest (sp?) sells a terrific package... for $34.95 you get a charger and
4 AAs... another $19.95 gets you four additional cells. The Nikon
CoolPix 900 also offers a rebate on this.

I believe they are available through Porters...
