P3D Re: Sunny 16 rule, baaaaah

With an expensive digital meter and a automatic stereo camera
like the RBT S1 which I always use in auto-exposure mode,
I am certainly the last one to preach about this.... but I have
been amazed by what I call "constancy of light".

I refused to believe that "office illumination" is constant until
I measured it myself. It can fluctuate by one f-stop but if it
is f8 @ 1 sec (w/100 ASA film) then it feels a bit dark. f11 at
1 sec is better. Average home at night: 4 sec. f8.

There is a good feeling to know that light does not change over
3 stops for no good reason. Some kind of power. Like freeviewing.
Yes, you can guess it and get better to it if you really care.
Or you can just pull the meter out and shut the brain off. Or pull
the viewer and forget the exercise of the muscles. I see many
similarities. And I admit I am lazy. I use viewers, meters and
automatic cameras. But if they take these away from me, I can
still take a few good pictures.
