Stitz had a platform with posts and a threaded ring mounted between
the posts. You put your 35mm projector on the platform, and align the
lens with the posts. Then you put the Stitz adapter on the threaded
ring so it right in front of the lens, slap a polarizer on the front
of the adapter, and you're all set. You could even use the mirror
adjustments on the adapter to control spacing, etc.
