Well I haven't seen Sanyo's effort, but I have had a play with Sharp's
latest ones a few weeks ago. They've got a flat panel display which looks
pretty finished, which uses a single viewing position (though there are
other spots where the stereo is viewable), and looks like being inexpensive
- certianly a small fraction of the $8-15000 you quoted. There was also a
head-tracking model which is bulkier but had some great effects. The image
quality is pretty good on both, as is the viewing comfort.

I can't give you dates for availability just yet, but maybe soon.

http://www.sle.sharp.co.uk/imt.htm though the flat panel stuff is more
likely to hit the mass market I think.
