How accurate? Using a ruler and a mirror isn't bad. There must be more 
ways to do it, but I hold a ruler against my nose, horizontal, just 
below eye level. Looking through one eye, at the image of the same eye, 
I set the ruler zero position, then looking with the other eye at the 
image of the other eye, I read off the value on the ruler and claim it 
as my eye separation.
