[photo-3d] Dali 3D Exhibit at the Hirshorn in Washington D.C.

Thanks to the pointer from a member of this list, I caught the
Dali Exhibit at the Hirshorn Museum when I visiting Washington
D.C. late last month. The Exhibit included 3 of Dali's
stereoscopic picture pairs. All were presented for parallel viewing
with mirror stereoscopes. - Unfortunately, crucifixion pictures were
flopped so that they could not be viewed with the stereoscopes -
however they looked great when viewed cross-eyed. Additionally,
one of the mirrors in the stereoscope was tilted slightly.
I pointed out the errors to the Curator of Paintings and on Monday
I got a nice letter indicating that the error had been corrected.
The other two stereo pairs were mounted in single frames so there
was no way they could have been flopped. - The museum catalog
has nice reproductions or all of 3 stereo pairs - unfortunately
they are all mounted parallel and the images are much to large
to view that way. - I imagine that they just wanted to copy
the preframed images in the catalog without making changes.
