I had the same problem when I moved my scanner from a P266/Win95 to a
P500/NT machine. Unfortunately, I went out and bought the SCSI card.
BTW, which UMAX scanner did you have? Mine's an S-6E ... cost me about
$300, but the equivalent could be had for much less than $100 now, I'm sure.
