Most of the time I do not use tape. I find that the tabs in the heat
seal mounts hold them in place well enough for me to close the slide
and heat seal it by ironing over the lower part where the perfs are.
The chip doesn't move after that. I then load the other side and
check alignment, if good I heat seal that one on the bottom over the
perfs and again check alignment. If good, I then heat seal the whole
thing. If not, I see if I can spot the problem and take apart what
is needed to fix it.
I have found that cutting the film right is the most important
operation. When cut properly the chips will fit well and align well.
Would sure like to find a source for euro heat seals mounts.
