Unfortunately, the S1 conflicts with one of my other goals, which is
to have on-film frame spacing that matches standard 35mm slides, so I
can have the results commercially mounted in 2x2s.

Also, I think the 59mm spacing of the S1 is a problem for me.  My IPD
is about 69mm, according to my optometrist, so 59 would probably look
pretty hypo-stereo to me.

On the 3d-concepts site, the X2V2 looks pretty good.  It lacks
auto-focus, but seems to have everything else.  What is the X3?  That
and the X4 are mentioned on Jon's site, but no details are given.
