Although I've already posted about my choice of the X3 (and yes,
I'm in my 40's so it was my time to do so ... just doing my duty!),
I thought I'd mention that one can see specs on RBT's web site.
If one only speaks English, as I do, then one can use AltaVista's
babel fish interface to read literal real-time translations while
browsing through RBT's site in a translated-frame within AltaVista's.

To do this, "cut" this link: http://www.rbt-3d.de/x3.htm
and paste it into the (second choice) website option
blank at http://babel.altavista.com/translate.dyn
Then select the German-to-yourlanguage choice, and hit
the translate button! You can then browse through RBT's
site in English (sortof). Notice that even when a new
window is brought up, the new window is being translated
on the fly as well.

Their translator has a limit as how how much text on a
single page it will translate. The X3 page is longer than
this limit by a bit, so on special occasions like this one,
one can use the first option at the altavista page above
and do a cut/paste from the lower part of the x3 page to
the altavista babel page -- and get a translation for that
part. I think there was another site that does something
similar, but I don't have it's URL handy.

P.S. - The X3 is based on Ricoh's top-of-the-line SLR camera,
while the X2V2 is based on another model. Not a great
deal of difference , the X3 just has a few more
       bells and whistles.

P.P.S. - Something I hadn't mentioned earlier that in addition
to having TTL flash, the X3 also has a built-in flash,
one of those small pop-ups. Too wimpy for serious flash
work, but very handy to have around for those unexpected
needs. It also can be used for doing that flicker'ish
         pre-burst mini-flashing before main-flash for red-eye
         reduction.
