I haven't seen any reply to this, so I thought I would mention
that Greg Erker has done some medium format hyperstereo of
fireworks. He has several images made over the course of a
few years. An image he calls "Finale" has been circulated in
various folios, slide tours, and a medium format 3D expo. As
a medium format stereo slide the image is stunning. You can
look at it on the web to get an idea of what the technique can
produce, but of course you won't get anything like the stunning
impact you get from viewing the MF3D chrome.

As of this evening, the links to the first two images still work,
but the third does not; I believe it was removed for size reasons.
