If I could procure one of those Bogen bars, I'd sure like to try it 
out.  Unfortunately, by the time I get one freighted into Juneau it would 
probably cost me $80+, so I've been using my homebrew slide bar.  It's not 
as slick as a commercial one, but it helps keep things level.
Maybe next time I'm "outside" I'll have a chance to look for one.
