Perhaps it's common, but the Wollensak and Iloca Rapid I've
been using are practically free from overlap. Just about every
chip has a black line of unexposed film separating its neighbor.
The thickness of this line, the actual spacing, does vary slightly,
however. The Rapid has finely scalloped film aperture edges, so
the line to cut is often easier to see (such a nice stereo
camera!).

Fwiw, I haven't noticed restrictions with the other 5P cameras
I've used (Revere, Wollensak, Iloca Rapid). These all seem to
allow positioning chips anywhere within the range of the pinbar
adjustments provided with RBT mounts, including "20s", i.e. the
0.2 mm increment ones.
