I agree with Paul that illumination is extremely important. Even the
simple act of adding a halogen bulb to a Red Button gives a HUGE
improvement in viewer "performance" IMO. [Better yet, replace or repaint
white reflectors  and clean lenses etc as part of a full
"Themelization".] On the rare occasions when I try to view a slide in an
RB or other viewer with an original type bulb, I am generally
underwhelmed. -Linda
