When I weighed my Sputnik and compared it with the posted weight of a
Realist my Sputnik was lighter. When I compared my Sputnik to a
Realist brought to one of the Third Friday Stereo Dinners my Sputnik
seemed lighter, although I didn't weigh either of them at the time.

There is a great deal of variation in the Sputniks. Perhaps my
Sputnik is lighter than the one you had. I also wouldn't be surprised
that the posted weight of the Realist that I compared mine to was
wrong.
