May I ask why? :) If you have the negatives it might be
better to make the negatives to slides. If not, I guess
copying the prints is the only way to do it.
I just hope that you are not violating any copyrights as I do
routinely when I copy stereoviews and various stereo images
from books or other people's work to show in my shows for
which I charge a hefty admission. (ha, ha, ha!!! This is a
joke in reference to a nasty thread on this topic a year or
two ago)

Yes, that's how I do it... Use regular slide film, my Minolta
camera, a macro lens and tungsten lights with blue filter on
the lens. They turn out quite well. Contrast increase might
be a problem and I am sure there are special low contrast
films made for copying but for my applications regular
slide film will do it. About the masking comment... you have
to give some thought about how you are going to mount
the resulting images and remember that most SLR camera's
viewfinders only show 92% of the image or so...
To copy a series of stereoviews, after I compose the first
one, I tape a ruler in my copying table so I can then just
shift the stereoview on the ruler edge to copy the other side,
and maintain alignment. I've written an article on our newletter
on this subject (copying stereoviews), I'll try to dig it up.
