Results will vary with the use to which the batteries are put.
Ironically, I've had the best luck using them in applications
the manufacturer says are not suited to the rechargeable alkalines.
They told me the amperage draw of the halogen bulbs in my Red
Button was far too great for the D cell Renewals, but they keep
going strong for me.  I've also used the AAs quite successfully
in our programmable thermostat, although the manufacturer told
me it made no sense to use them there.  Go figure!
