Thanks for the report Jon!

Other than the two clubs that Jon mentioned (New York
and New England) the rest are fairly constant or
declining. That's the impression that I get from
reading a few of the newsletters... One example is
Chicago... You would expect that with Chicago being
one of the biggest cities in the USA and being almost
at the center of Stereo in the 1950s, to have as
much attendance as New York... but this is not the
case... Perhaps some changes are needed...

Here is Cleveland Ohio, we average 30 people in our
monthly meetings. Some members come from as far as
Detroit and Pittsburgh. One difference between most
stereo clubs and NY and NE is that most stereo clubs
hold monthly meetings while NY and NE hold quarterly
meetings but I don't see how and why with quarterly
meetings you would get more people to show up.

Our meetings in Cleveland are the first Tuesday of
the month, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. We try to have a
variety of programs, from Member's Presentations
to Workshops and stereo competitions. Last month
we showed the PSA Stereo Sequence Exhibition (BTW,
I really enjoyed David Kesner's macro sequences)
and the competition theme was "Bridges".

Next month (March 6) we have member's presentations
and a workshop on "single camera stereo". On
April we have a very special guest, Al Sieg, the
world's top stereo photographer and currently
President of the PSA (Photographic Society of America)
and the competition theme is "Nature".

Next year we will try to get Jon Golden to come as
"Invited Guest" (we tried this year but things did
not work out so we had to settle with Al Sieg :)).
Maybe this will boost the attendance ratings,
especially with the free RBT raffle that Jon so
generously promised!!! :) :) :)

We also publish a nice newsletter (with yours truly
serving as the Editor) which is received by about
110 people. 17 people have opted to receive it
electronically (by email as a pdf file). The contents
are a good mixture of local events, reviews, member
interviews and Tutorials on stereo photography.
