Like Gabriel, I wonder whether the legal questions about
the camera are as cut and dried as has been suggested (and
I wrote to Grant off-list yesterday about that, and some
other ideas).  DrT's proposal has merit and I would participate
but other options should be explored also.  Contacting the
local newspaper, for example, or informing the thrift store
and the buyer that you plan to do so, might spur someone to
mollify a previous hard-line position, to avoid the negative
publicity.

Morally the buyer ought to be satisfied receiving just a refund
of the $50 he paid, but a reward for its safe return would also
be a nice gesture.
