[photo-3d] Halogen viewer bulbs

At least three "types" of halogen 2-cell viewer bulbs are
commonly available (from Steve Berezin, Dr.T, and other
suppliers):

2.5V	.50A
2.5V	.83A
2.8V	.85A

I asked a dedicated bulb supplier (Reflectalite) about the latter
two "brighter" bulbs, and a gentleman there said:

> 2.8V 0.85A are the same or virtually the same bulbs as 2.5V
> 0.83A expressed at a different voltage.

I'm too much of a nitpicker to be comfortable with "the same
or virtually the same." :>) In any case, the ratios of the
voltages and amperages don't agree.

So what's the story? Wouldn't the bulb with the manufacturer's
lower voltage rating provide a higher color temperature
illumination and a shorter lifetime at the voltage delivered by
two (alkaline) batteries? Is the difference really negligible?
