Hello All,

I've been 'playing' with stereo for a long time. But, always with the
single camera method. Yesterday I went by a local dealer in antique
cameras to see what he had in the way of stereo cameras. He said "I
usually have 10 or none. There's been a big rush on them lately. But, I
do have a Realist that's being checked and tuned.". It turns out to be
the model (I don't remember the number) with the slower max shutter
speed. What he does is refurbishes them and then sells them with a one
year warranty. This particular Realist is about $200. So here are ny
questions -

1. Is this a good camera? The other model he gets, with the fatser max
shutter speed, usually goes for around $400 he said. He also get Kodaks.
Should I go for this Realist (which is in my price range) or wait for a
Kodak to come into the shop?

2. Does the Realist put the image on two full 35 mm frames or does it
split one frame into two images? If is uses only one frame for both left
and right is there any separation between the two images? What I'm
getting as is - can images taken with this camera be processed and mount
like a 2D slide? Or, should the film be processed without having
mounting done?

Thanks.....

Eric
