Many Americans are aware of the meaning of the French word 'Freres' from the
popular schoolchildren's song "Freres Jacques" (Brother Jack).

More to the subject. Does anyone in the P3D group have any historical
information on Jules Richard and his brother(s)? I am especially interested
in how they came about to design and manufacture the Verascope and other
stereo gear. They must have started quite some time ago, as a friend of
mine owns an early Verascope that takes glass plates.

I have been very fortunate to recover my Verascope f40 that had been stolen
from me. The police said that the serial number that I provided them proved
that it was indeed my camera. A suggestion to everyone in the p3d group:
write down the serial numbers of all of your stereo cameras and other gear,
and keep copies of the list in more than one place, as well as being sure to
send a copy to your insurance company.
