The way I understand it, PePax *does* work! :=) Of course, it only works
at a single distance, one point even. :=(
So you'd get a "natural" look with PePax settings used for a telephoto of
a bird's nest in a niche in a cliff rock face. The percent distance from the
front of the nest to the rock face begins to approximate a "point" distance if
far enough away. Or a statue on top of a building.
In general non-ortho can't be made "natural" though it can be made
pleasing. I think PePax is a place to start when using varied lens separations
and lengths.
