  It may be possible on some shutters to
bend the flash contacts so that the
flash doesn't fire until the shutter
is open. But this involves significant
disassembly in most shutters.

  I also have built a delay circuit
that let me use strobes with my old
Ricohflex Model VII. The schematic
used to be up on Joel Alper's RMM
web page but doesn't seem to be on
the new Paul Talbot RMM site. If
you are handy with electronics and want
to give this a try I can probably
dig up the schematic (a one-shot and
SCR plus assorted parts) and put it
up on my web page.
