I would suggest that you do not have a problem. If you are only taking the film
through three times don't worry about it.  I've taken IR film through the x-ray
machines four times with out consequence.  A couple of years ago a magazine sent
film through the machines either one or two dozen times (I don't remember which)
and found problems with only the highest speed films (we're talking about ISO
1000 and greater).

If you are talking about 120 or sheet film, or if you are talking about taking
film through x-ray machines in the Middle East or Eastern Europe, or if you are
talking about allowing the use of the machines that look at checked baggage,
then this could be different.  However, 35mm film in US/Canadian carry-on x-ray
machines is not a problem.
