Stay away from the darker filters, #89B is the practical limit, or

I don't like testing film without worthwile and representative
subjects, so I shot it with a #87C while skiing in the French Alps.
Shot brackets of 1/60s @ f2.8-11, but even at f2.8 (effective EI:
1.5 ASA) it is badly underexposed, by several stops.
This makes the claim of a Kodak equivalent quite a far stretch
IMNSHO....Konica yes (at a higher speed with all matching filters
hopefully), but Kodak no....;-((
The odd thing is that Maco does make some more dedicated IR-films I
believe, but thusfar for government/surveillance/military only.
(which might be due to some odd German laws prohibiting sales to the
normal public....even 2nd Gen night vision units still required export
licences not so long ago, where US units could be exported freely
(only 3rd Gen was limited).
