         I do not have a problem with true "for sale" ads but I am bothered 
by ads for ebay auctions.  Ebay is fine for what it si, but so many times i 
ahve hadd the moeny and/or the need for an item, I follow an ad only to 
find out it is for an auction on ebay, and seeing that i cannot wait 5 or 
10 days for the item to come up, with iffy chances of getting it, I simply 
bite the bullet and buy new.
         For example, I just took delviery this week of a new Rodenstock 
135mm Apo-Sironar.  I tried and tried to get one on Ebay, but never could 
bid at the last moment, or they didn't ship outside the USA, or the lens 
had a flaw, etc, etc.  More aggravation than it was worth.  Now if somebody 
on this list say 3-4 weeks ago has come up and said they had one in good 
shape for sale, e-mail them off list, I would of been all over them.  :)

         Ah well, I'm all set now, got a 135mm and 180mm Sironars, a big 
box of Maco IR in 4x5, and three nice B+W filters - orange/red, deep red 
and total IR (92E?).   All most all used (save for the 135mm), but all from 
private sales, not ebay.

         So if something relevant does come up, I don't mind a short one or 
two liner to an e-mail address or web site, but if it's an ad for ebay, I'd 
rather not see it here.  It seems some days that all the 
rec.photo.marketplace newsgroups have turned into nothing but announcements 
for Ebay, I don't need to see them here too please.
