P3D Re: Transposed and Pseudo

My apologies to Gabriel, P.J., and everyone else.

My brains burned for a while trying to figure it out, and I still don't
understand why it is so, but it is. All the Nimslo shots I mounted are
pseudo. I thought they looked odd, but thought maybe it was just because
of the different focal length, stereobase, etc. At least they are all test
shots that I wasn't going to show anyway--don't have to remount them! :-)

Chalk up one on the minus side for the Nimslo--have to cut apart the
closeups with the #1 and #2 lenses. Groan.

If anybody would like to offer a concise explanation of why Nimslo
and beamsplitter shots are different in this way, I would like to
hear it. I did try to locate an old beamsplitter viewer that I had
to look inside it, but can't put my hands on it just now. It's not
critical--I understand what I can, and now I understand that I have to
cut the Nimslo closeups apart. And I think I have to go back and
re-evaluate the #1 and #3 pair as opposed to the #1 and #2 pair.
Guess I have to remount those! :-/
