Suart,
Did you get any technical info out of Nikon that might be of help for 
twinning their Coolpix990? Name of a contact/phone# might even be 
helpful.

Coolpix would certainly be a nice camera to twin, just expensive if 
twinning didn't work. Would also be nice to separate the lens element 
so they could be placed side by side.
