It is not the "most recent purchase price", it is this
specific purchase price.  When you paid X amount of money
to buy what is inside this box, how would you expect the
person who mails it to put something else than X?  As far
as the seller is concerned, the contents of this box are
worth X amount of money.  Sounds simple to me. :)

You might have a problem if the package is lost and
you try to collect $250.
