Here is a neat trick that I learned from the Master (Allan
Griffin). I have been always confused about which way
to move the film chips to move the stereo window back
or forth. The Master has published this nice mnemonic
which is easy to visualize. The minute I saw this, I never
forgot the answer again.
4 arrows (up, down, right and left) point to a point at the
center. The caption reads: Moving the film chips closer
to each other, brings the subject closer to the stereo
window. (The R and L arrows represent the movement
of the film chips under the mount. The U and D arrows
represent the movement of the stereo window to the
subject)
4 arrows are pointing away from each other. Caption
reads: Moving film chips away from each other moves
subject away from the stereo window.
THANK YOU MASTER!
Your humble servant,
George Themelis
