George achieves a simple but very effective color correction in his red 
button  mods by adding blue paint to the white and thus offsetting much 
or most of the red shift of the halogen bulbs.

As Bob Howard points out, no need to get too crazy with color correction, 
as the brain does an incredible amount of accomodation. The only reason 
to get precise with all of this is if we needed to establish uniform color 
output for reproduction or other similar purpose.
