T3D Re: approximations

I read an interesting thing last night in an article about
photo-lithography as used in chip fabrication. They asserted that
standard 35mm film resolution is approximately equivalent to
6 million pixels. If one accepts this as true, then according
to Grosh's Law as the current digicams are at 2 megapixels, models
with "35 mm resolution" are 2 generations away. At the current rate
of improvement in digicam technology, that might be 2 to 4 years...
