David W. Kesner mentioned a 3/4" x 36 yard roll of
double face tape as something to explore for sealing
the mounts.

The mount edges that need to be sealed are in the 1/3
inch range.  Would a 3/4" width tape be too much
trouble to trim down to the right width?  Personally
I hate cutting tape lengthwise, but maybe others feel
differently?
